Running Christine’s Creative Co. for just about 3 years has been a heart-filled, paint-splattered, balloon-popping adventure. From birthday giggles to school festivals to corporate celebrations to everything in between and beyond, I’ve loved every moment of bringing high-quality, interactive fun to all kinds of events across New England!

But you know what keeps that magic fresh?

Every year, I make space for continuing education—not just because it's important, but because it's exhilarating. It recharges my creative batteries and fills my brain with wild new ideas that I can’t wait to share with YOU. So come along with me as I spill the confetti on my most recent learning escapades!

🎪 Kapital Kidvention – Where the Pros Go to Play

Picture this: a hotel in Washington, D.C. packed to the brim with balloon twisters, magicians, clowns, face painters, stilt walkers, jugglers, and yes—even a unicyclist or two. It’s like camp for grown-up entertainers. Welcome to Kapital Kidvention, where learning meets laughter & fun!

At Kidvention, I got hands-on with new balloon twisting techniques (some so cool they made me audibly gasp), practiced fresh face painting designs (one called ghosting), and connected with some of the most wildly talented folks in the industry. I even discovered new tricks to up my performance game—because yes, even balloon artists have secret moves!

I left with my suitcase overflowing with balloon

designs, my brain buzzing with ideas, and my heart full. Bonus: I now have at least three new ways to make classic superhero and unicorn designs!

💼 EforAll Business Accelerator – Building the Business Side of the Magic

Okay, real talk: being a creative entrepreneur isn’t just about having fun (though I do have lots of that). It also means knowing how to run a business—spreadsheets, strategy, customer service, the whole shebang.

Enter EforAll Greater Worcester, a 12-week business accelerator that took me on a whirlwind ride through marketing, branding, budgeting, goal-setting, and more. I learned how to track my finances, strengthen my systems, and better understand you—my amazing clients.

It was intense, but deeply rewarding.

As someone who navigates executive dysfunction and the occasional “AHH! Too many tabs open!” brain moment, the structure and support made a HUGE difference.

And now? I’m more equipped than ever to make booking smoother, events more seamless, and the magic even more memorable.

🎈LaMarvelous Balloon Décor – Go Big or Go Balloony!

If you thought balloon animals were cool, wait until you see a full-on balloon arch dripping with color, or a 6-foot-tall balloon column that makes jaws drop and cameras click. That’s the level I stepped into with the LaMarvelous Balloon Décor Class.

This workshop took everything I knew about balloons and cranked it up to party-planner level 10. I learned about symmetry, design, theory, and the structural secrets behind those dreamy Instagram-worthy arches and columns. And yes, I absolutely tried to fit a balloon rainbow into my car afterward. (Spoiler: I almost succeeded.)

🎨 International Face Painting School’s 7th Summit – A Virtual

Color Explosion

Coming up this May 2025, I’m attending the 7th International Face Painting School Summit—a global gathering of incredible artists, all from the comfort of my paint-splattered desk.

This 3-day online summit is a face painter’s dream. Think masterclasses in character design, shading techniques, color blending, and all the little details that make each painted face a true work of art. I’ll be soaking in knowledge from some of the best in the world—while also staying cozy in my unicorn pajamas

This kind of deep-dive learning reminds me why I fell in love with face painting in the first place: it’s not just art—it’s joy, confidence, and transformation painted on a child’s smile.
